Weathered (statue material study )

I wanted to replicate the weathered look of an iron cast statue that have been left for decades exposed to the various elements outdoors - sun, rain, dirt, etc. A lot of those are placed around in my town, so i had a lot of references. For the corroded parts of the statue, i used the voxel tools in 3D Coat to cut some interesting volumes out of the statue. The statue and the stone podium were textured in Substance Painter, for the ground materials I used some Quixel Megascans textures as well as some dry leaves textures with alpha.
For the awesome water material in Blender, I followed this cool tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyIRio8WlJA&t=4s&ab_channel=KrisBettini

the movement of the caustics is pretty meh but didn't have a lot of time to properly animate the warp & noise nodes

i made a quick 3d scan of a dry leaves pile in Metashape and later placed around it separate leaves using textures from Quixel Megascans
